Shehamforash – Revelation of Doom

Man this one hit me like a brick when I first heard it. This is one of the most blasphemous, evil, vile, old school black metal records I have heard in a long time. There is an eerie, haunting vibe through the whole thirty minutes of this record that never washes away from you.
There is absolutely no filler on this album, as every song is a lethal dose of venomous rock n roll meets black metal hatred (sort of a Motorhead meets early Marduk). Brilliant songs like “Metal To Hell”, “As The God So The Servants”, and “Morbid Death” hit you one after another. The production is also superb, as the sound is not thin at all like most black metal albums I listen to. The record is thick & bottom heavy, as the bass and drums are up front in the mix, which is rare for a lot of black metal records.
Those looking for soft passages, majestic mountain climbing melodic riffs, pointless/soulless blastbeats, look elsewhere (may I recommend some Dimmu?). This isn’t about cheesy corpsepaint, posing in icy snow with your leather pants, or a million spikes on your wrist band…..this is about a true descension into hell set to raw as f**k music mates.
