I was expecting another beatdown, thugcore band when I listened to this album. Maybe cause it’s a Eulogy records release and I based the opinion on the last few releases from bands I heard from on the label. Well…fogettabout it! These Buffalo, New York boys are the real deal, as their straight edge message sounds convincing as Joe Pesci making his point in a Martin Scorsese film.

This record pounds it’s grooves as fast as possible as none of the songs last longer than three minutes. It’s more of a crossover album than anything, as these boys have the spirit of Terror, the speedy zest of  D.R.I., & the thrash grooves of old Billy Milano M.O.D. The album begins with the one minute punch in the face “Righteous Man”, this song pretty much sets the stage on what comes next. The furious title track “They Are Coming For Me” has the best groove I have heard this side of early DC hardcore, while “No Trust” reminds me of ol Crowbar in it’s slow, sludgy thrash attack. All in all, a pretty solid release for anyone wanting a lunch break from the mass onslaught of  beatdown metalcore thats been raining down on the scene.
